I am looking for a Colorado or NM cow elk hunt

I am looking for a colorado or NM cow elk hunt to bring my dad on. We want it to be actual hunting not just a cow shoot. We are looking for rifle season. Any ideas?

i have hunted there four times and am planning on going back next year. it is a trespass fee to hunt and then your tags . i hunted coyte ranch it is rugged but lots of area to get around to hunt

Hi SB:

It wasn't clear if you are looking for a guided hunt, if so, can't help you with that. There are too many elk in CO, and I don't think you would have much trouble finding one on your own.

This year there are still thousands of leftover cow tags in great units. The OTC tags are available as well.

It's getting late to start planning a hunt for this year, but if you are deadset on hunting, Colorado has plenty of tags.
