Utah Cow Elk Hunt Results

Did any fellow Utahns draw? Saw the charge in my bank account. Now just waiting for the tag. Looking forward to chasing cows in the snow in January!! Ahhhhh... two elk tags this year and a wonderful way to make the off season shorter!

Those results won't come out for another 9 days. They won't even charge until the 29th as far as I know.

They always charge your credit or debit card early. I put mine on my credit card and I'm not checking it so we'll see on the 29th if I drew mine. What unit did you put in for? Did you only list one choice or mutlitple?

I put in for a CWMU JB Ranch as #1 and nine-mile range creek , then Book cliffs bitter creek east, La Sal La Sal mountains, and Central mountains west manti.

I love the cow hunt in January. It does make the off season shorter. This year though they didn't offer any cow hunts in any of the areas I usaully put in for. I put in for a CWMU first and my other choices were all in Sept or Oct I think. I usually hunt the Plateau Boulder mountain or the Diamond mountain unit. But niether had a January hunt this year. They both go into November though.

I put in for the East Heber cow hunt (in-laws live in Heber). 4 of us put in and Monday morning I had the following charge on my card:

UTAH ANTLRS DRAW PERMIT 800-221-0659 UT 240.00

I know they don't post results until then all that, but you can always tell if/when they start charging, etc. I usually get my archery buck permit when I put in for LE Elk tags. That way I know if I drew based on how much they charge. $35.00 is bad... EVERY YEAR! [:@]

I know that feeling very well. The last five years in a row. A $35 charge for my archery buck tag. Good news is I've got 5 bonus points for Elk. I probably need to double that or more before I'll draw a tag on points though.

Yep.. I'm at 5 points too. Wasted one last year when they included the Wasatch Mtns on that AR301 tag. Pisses me off and I won't do THAT again! [:'(]

I have 3 points towards a bull tag. I am going to need about 7 more before I can use 'em though![:@]
