Default new hunter...again

I am new to deer hunting again....Have not hunted deer in over 10 years. Was younger back then, and my dad carried most of the gear. WHat do I need to carry for a typical day in a stationary stand?

Well, aside from you gun and ammo, I'd suggest you bring the following:

raingear
binoculars
food
water
game bags
knive and knife sharpener
flashlight
game harness(for dragging your deer out)
sunscreen
hat
survival pack(with first aid kit)

Hope this helps! Its just the basic stuff that i take on hunting trips, so you might want to add anything else you can think of that you might use.

Good luck hunting!

If I was hunting near home, i'd carry a pee-bottle, watch, camera, food, water, knife, compass, ammo, gun.
If you'rE on stand the whole day you might want to take something to keep you from fidgeting like a good book. a 12 hr. day is a long time. i'd spend a lot of it still hunting where i'd also bring my GPS

Thanks. My shotgun scope will be in tomorrow on UPS and I am looking forward to setting up the gun for this fall's season.
