Is that the calf abandonded by the cow just recently near Espanola or nearby there? Too bad, the little gal didnt make it even though a lot of people did eveything they could to help it.
I hadn't heard about that. I understand the pics were taken near Elliot Lake. Don't know the circumstances. My question was when I saw them; "where's the cow"? gg.

The calf had been orphaned or abandonded by the cow and had been hanging around the groomed snowmobile trails for a while. Even though it was readily feeding, the little gaffer unfortunately died under the supervised care of a vet.
I would like to think that your wrong Sawmill, I don't like to hear of sad stories about our moose ,they are a wonderful animal whether we're hunting them or not .
Yeah, I think this shows real ignorant behavior and I'd be ashamed to have my photo posted doing something this foolish. A real greenhorn stunt and it gives snowmobilers a bad image (as ignorant yahoos), imho. -zeke
