Default colorado elk hunting

I"™m looking to put a group of hunters together for a trip to CO.hunting for elk & deer with BOW or MUZZLE LOADER. For SEPTEMBER 9 AND BACK HOME ON THE 17th

Muzzle loader tag is a draw . deadline is April 6 for the unit we will hunt

I live in ST.Paul Park,MN I"™M NOT A GUIDE! I have been hunting out in CO. for the past 11 years on self guided hunts total of 16 trips for deer & elk.

The group I hunt with can not make it at this time. something about $ and wifes

I have the equipment for the camping & cooking. 5 tents that can sleep 3or4 each and be heated with wood or propane, portable shower and a polaris 6x6 all you will need is your personal gear. we can meet in MN or meet on the way to or in CO. I drive a ford f350 crew cab that can fit 4/5 people. the cost for the trip should be around $300.00 to $350.00 for food & fuel + tags. a chap trip for the first timers to git hooked on elk hunting. Ron,

I know how "wives and tag fees" can thin a bunch of hardy hunters who said earlier they would all go, it is maddening sometimes.

Sounds like a fine set up and a fair offer. Folks, opportunities like this one don't just "fall out of the sky" every day. For those who are wanting to "do Colorado elk on the cheap" this sounds about as good as it is going to get. Plus you are going with someone who knows the ropes and the area, that alone is worth a bunch.

For those who want to go, remember, "actions speak louder than words" and "opportunities look better going than they do coming". The "must be postmarked by April 6, 2004 cut off" is coming REAL fast.

Ron, good luck getting your group together.

Good Luck To You All and Good Hunting,
EKM

If I wasn't committed to a Montana late season hunt this coming fall, I along with two buddies would be all over your offer. I used up my preference points last year for the m/l season in CO (got a nice 5x5) and just sent in to start the point build up again :-)

I am rel anxious about trying out Colorado. I would love to take you up on your offer but I've got a commitment around that time I just can't get out of. (Getting married the 17th) So I guess you could say I'm a victim of the wife thing too.
