Is anyone familiar with Idaho Zone 17 (SELWAY)

Was wondering if anyone was familiar with this zone. I'm returning back to it again this May for my second spring bear hunt. Being just a beginner I was hoping I could email someone and get some pointers that may boost my chances. I'm told this is a good area for bears and it is a 2 bear zone.

not unit 17 but i hunted in 16a and 20 for many years.

2 years ago I hunted unit 17 the last week of oct. I didnt see any bear sign, I may go back this year

I don't know much about it now, however I am planning a bear hunt near there in Idaho in may myself. See my post. Let me know if you hear good stuff about it.

i don't know about 17 but i know that the mccall zone is full of bears, came across 7 in one day elk hunting last season, thinking i'll go back there this spring

Doesn't sound like this zone is hunted hard for bears, wonder why? It is a reduced bear zone. Could it be its accessibility? $32 tag is really a great price.
