Forgive me if this is already published somewhere, if so then I haven't seen it.
Who do you nominate for the BIG Five and Medium Five for North America?

Big Five:
-- Any Great Bear: Polar, Brownie, Grizzly.
-- American Bison
-- Moose
-- Elk
-- Caribou

Medium Five:
-- Black Bear
-- Big Horn Sheep
-- Mountain Goat
-- Antelope (Speed Goat)
-- Any Deer: Whitetail, Mulie, Blacktail, Whatever

Looks good, but it would be nice to see Muskox next to Bison since there is only five slots. Good luck.

What is the criteria?

My list would change quite a bit depending on if it were matching wits with the animal, environment I would be hunting in, pure excitement of a hunt, etc...etc...

Bigbulls,
Criteria -- thats kind of a personal thing. It's a poll, hence pick the ones that mean the most to you and write 'em down.

Someone who is "deer addicted" might say:
The North American Big Five:
-- White tail deer
-- Mule deer
-- Black tail deer
-- Sika (sp)
-- Coues (sp) deer, etc. etc.

Someone who is focused on Dangerous Game might say,
Big Five:
-- Polar Bear
-- Brown Bear
-- Grizzly Bear
-- Black Bear
-- Cougar

No doubt someone in Africa must have thought that the animals making up the Big Five should have been different ---- there was probably room for opinion at one point....
