Whitetail scent for Axis deer

Do any of you have experience using scents form one species for another? I picked up some whitetail "estrous doe pee" to try on some Axis deer later this spring on Lanai. I don't want this to turn into a scent or not to scent string. (that's been done many times)
If you have any advice or experience hunting Axis deer it'd be appreciated. I'll post my results in a few months.

That is a very interesting question. I dont think it would work but I might get around to trying it in the next week or two. I have no experience in Axis hunting in Hawaii, but I do it all the time here in Texas. Mainly I spot and stalk, but sometimes I will sit in a stand where the Axis are known to frequent.

I travel to Texas to Bowhunt them also-I stand hunt & always take alfalfa to put by my stand-they love it. But, doubt if you have taht available in Hawaii. good luck.
