Default Swift A frames for elk

Any opinons using Swift A frames for elk? I dont reload but a friend does and he told me to consider the 225 grain as a starting point. Rifle is a Remington 673 Guide/350 Rem Mag. Am new to this forum and new to elk hunting. Thanks.

The Swift A-Frame is and EXCELLENT choice on any large body game, with good mushrooming, weight retention and penetration it is hard to beat. The 225 gr should give you a little better range and trajectory than a 250 gr.

I use 54 grs' of IMR 4320 and a 250 gr Speer Spitzter and my Remington M600 will shoot under 1 inch with that load if I do my part.

There are some people with the NEW 673 on this board and they may be able to help you with a specific load for the A-Frame.

I am sure that the 350 will do a number on elk its dynamite on moose!!

Good Luck...

I would go with the 250 gr. Good luck.
