Default Anyone ever call fall back Bear

So they just opened Black Bear hunting in our area about a few years ago it a two day season can't use bait and dogs are so heavy reaglated it not worth it so calling seams to be the only way we can put things in our favor I know mouth calles are ok and maybe e-caller I am not sure yet on that one so I was wondering what you all like in the way of calls and what do you look for in a set up also I think lures are allowed if you guys have a favorite

I'm assuming you could scout, no? Nothing wrong with a good stalk hunt; what you have in your favor is the fact bears have bad eyesight---and you play the wind.

Find droppings and prints; find blueberries. Go to the TOP of hollers and ridgelines (often, the higher the better); find areas with large stones, hollow trees, fallen logs, mountain laurel. Basically, find their habitat and plan to go slow and go high---playing the wind and glassing the thick stuff. I don't see why that's not as good a strategy as anything.
If nothing else, come bear opener, you'll get to go on a beautiful walk in the mountains with your gun. No wasted time, there.

Had not thought of that for around here because of the heavy cover but could work
