Is it worth it to take a jeep/ four wheelers out? Or would that depend on the unit?

I suppose it is possible to find a practical purpose for an ATV but from what I have seen they are effective as a pronghorn repellent. Game can hear those things at long distance. It is not unusual to drive on real roads during the a day's hunt where an ATV would be out of place. The pronghorns see trucks all of the time and do not seem very stressed by them, but guys ripping around on ATVs is another matter.

You will probably need a four wheel drive vehicle on some of the two-tracks but a normal four wheel drive pickup works well. The two tracks were made by people driving pickup trucks and you normally must drive on established two-tracks or roads. A small (road legal) jeep might be handy but I doubt it would be worth towing it that far.

I hear ya, I'm at the point between saving more for one of the "best" units, or burn em in the next year or two for a decent unit?

Alright, Well, all six of us bought our points. So that part is in motion. We will all be together the week after thanksgiving for PA Buck season and will discuss then if we want to go in the fall of '17 or '18. Then the research and planning will begin.
