Back when I was stationed there I usually hunted the "A" zone and I hunted in Mendocino County north of Napa. I also hunted in D-5 by Placerville. I took deer from both areas but that was back in the early 1990's. I left CA in Dec 1993 and have not been there since and I don't plan on setting foot there again.
