Burned 21 points to get into unit 61. Well worth the wait.

That's a good bull. I got one about like that years ago by Granby Res. Caught him coming out of Rocky mountain Natl Park. Took him on an OTC rifle tag but you couldn't do that now. The ridge I took him on is covered with town homes and condos now.

That's sad. Please consider joining the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. They do what they can to protect elk and the habitat they need.

Been a member for more than 20 years. Unfortunately my native CO has been invaded by millions of transplants from CA and they need to live somewhere. So they build houses, townhouses and Condos on Southern facing hillsides since there is less snow there. Those are the same hillsides the game needs for winter range but for some reason they think the CA idiots are more important. Frankly I think they have it backwards.

I usually hunt unit 83. OTC bull tags and cow tags can be drawn with 0-1 points. I love deer hunting there but it takes like 5pts to draw now. Headed out next Sat for the 2nd season.

Here's a pic of my friends bull. He Shot it 1st season rifle in the Sleepy Cat area near Meeker. This is a 6 x 7 and a really nice bull for this area that gets a lot of pressure.
