I am planning a trip to colorado in september for an archery elk hunt and every thing was going smooth untill..........i realized today im in way over my head, im in the army, have a limited amount of time to do this hunt (about 10 days in september) and i have no clue which GMU i should shoot for. Ive been looking alot into unit 45 but im not sure. Any advice would be great. Im not looking for a giant bull or anything just trying to get into some elk and away from people.

I would look at the "South fork of the White river Wilderness Area" good campground and lots of areas to pack into.. this area is out of Meeker past Buford.
