I don't think the MFWD and USFWS are completely honest with numbers in the first place, which are easily skewed. They always seem to have a bias in favor of wolves.
Here in West-Central Montana it seems that Elk numbers are not dropping as fast as they were 5 years ago but they sure aren't getting more plentiful.
If you come, get a wolf tag just in case. BTW, electronic calls are now legal on wolves.
