magna ports and the vais type brakes have that painful sharp ear piercing bark that is painful to me, I use QD Holland type brakes, still loud but a big boom instead of the sharp report.

I just got a VAIS put on my daughters .308 micro hunter. We will be testing it out this weekend and sighting it in.Let you know how it goes.

I never really cared for the muzzle breaks on the heavy calibers. Too much noise increase for me, although my 338 could have used one. The 375's and the 458 aren't a problem, recoil wise, but that 338 mag was just plain brutal.
