We are headed for unit 65 with Deer and Elk tags Oct 16 between Gunnison and Montrose turn south about 20 miles. Anybody hunted there in the past or been thru there recently????? Scouted the area in July and it looked pretty rugged.
Rider, I was down that way (10-15 miles south of Montrose) last week. I posted my result on the " Elk hunting stroies" topic. The bugling pretty much shut down mid week, but who knows?
