Default Buglin' In My Backyard...

I was just sittin' on the back porch just now and saw a kid down the block blowing on a call. There' s a guy ' bout a 1/4 mile dead North of here with a 1/2 dozen penned bulls (he sells velvet antler). This kid' s got those poor old boys screamin' to beat the band. I feel kind of bad for ' em, but it' s such a great sound. When we get a warm September around here, they usually break into chorus on their own between 1 and 3 in the morning...when I' m sleeping with the windows open...gets me bolt upright no matter what I' m dreamin' about!

I was bugling last night in my backyard and got an answer...bit suprising since I live in a city of 250,000..ha it was my neighbour, heard me bugling and had to join in. We went back in forth for a few minutes, till both our wives started there own chorus[]!!

I am with you though a marvelous sound and one I hope to hear a lot next week when I am out elk hunting[8D]

What a magnificent sound it is......I just returned from a hunt down near Montrose and the boy' s were buglin. I had several going, and was able to coax one of em within muzzleloader distance and took a nice 5x5.
