Default would you take a packabel fishing rob on your elk hunt to NW Wymonig?

Headed out of Elk hunt (RIfle) Oct 6 in Crandcall creek aera of NW WY! Guide said to bring fishing rod too! I have neer fished this aera Is it any good?> Would you take this packabel Rod or not??

Darn Right I would,
If you are looking for a rod,Eagle Claw makes a good pack rod,also take 1/2 dozen #8 panther martins and 1/2 dozen #0,#1 Mepps and a few dry flies and a glass Bobber (Clear) a little ultra light reel,6lb test,and you should catch all the trout you want.

Yes, I would pack it-------but I would not even think of using it until your elk is on the ground. Hunt hard------Get up early, be where you want to be at first lite, stay out till after dark. Your on an elk hunt----not after cut throat trout.

Always carry your rifle with you while you go fishing or you will be sorry

Jack said it. I' ve never used panther martins before tho. I' m a Mepps and curltail grub fan. We also carry the flies and clear bobber with us. 6# test.
