Jet Boil cook stove

I let a friend of mine use my jetboil. He put the fuel can back in the pot before it was dry and I now have a rust ring on the bottom of my pot. I was wondering how to get the rust out without damaging the titanium. I dont know for sure, but i dont think titanium rusts. I think its just from the bottom of the fuel canister. Thanks for any info.

I would just use a green scrubby pad, nylon type. Shouldn't damage the titanium.
