Default bear hunting in pennsylvania

I am from western ny and i am looking to go bear hunting in mckean, clinton, or cameron county. Where would be my best bet to start looking? I live close enough to go scout an area but where to start and what to look for would be very helpful. Thank you.

Look for food scources, berries and nuts probably the best bet. Can you bait? Or do a honey burn. Read the other bear posts here on the first couple of pages, they'll give a few other ideas, and then you can check this site out, the best bear hunting site I've seen. Good luck.

Default Pa Bear Hunt

I hunted deer with this PA Outfitter a few years back and there were lots of bear (big) in that country and lots of State land to hunt. The Guide was a bit of a Bs'r - another story. The people of Smithport were fantastic. We even had a waitress offer to let us come and shoot some bears that were hanging around her house. Too bad no season that time of the year.

If you want more info flip me an email.

Good luck.
