For me, it's because I am looking to book a hunt next fall. My boy turns 10 next summer and will be legal to hunt in Maine.

People are interested in bears, I can't think of any other reason.

Probably because black bear are widely distributed and an available big game species across a lot of the nation.

because hunting deer over food plots from cozy stands and having them named isnt hunting. going after something that can bite you in the ass is.
