Default Okay how big is it?

I am thinking a young bear only 150 lbs or so.

But am asking the experts

JW

this is me - 6'4" 270 lb and dog is 60 lb. You can just see the rock in the bear photo.

Thanks Muley thismay help!

Hard to tell with that picture. Nothing to compare it to.

Based on those two pictures it's still hard to tell, but I have a feeling he's a lot bigger than you think!

Three hundred gutted. Most bears are not as big as we think. I have seen stuffed 600 pounders though that I would have guessed at 400. A bear is the hardest animal to tell.

Big ears and humped back say a young bear. I'd say 150 lbs is a good estimate.

I agree that bears are some of the hardest animals to judge.. I also see it being harder to judge as it is close to the camera making it look bigger? However when I look at the pic with JW! in it the bear appears to be at least waste high. Also a short looking bear so most likely a female. At any rate I am going to say that this bear is in the 200lb range Some where between 200 and 250 lbs.. That is going to be my guess from what I can see anyways.. Although surely I am no expert on this either..

only thing to go on really is his belly which isn't that low there's lots of grass to be seen. the bears with beer bellies make bigger rugs
