Staying still makes a much better camo than any pattern you wear.

Carry a role of flagging tape. Take a nail and heat with a blow torch. Touch the hot nail against one of the sides to slightly burn the tape. Now the tape won't unroll on you. Pull some off to mark and the tape won't come undone.

It is far more productive to hunt with your eyes than it is to hunt with your feet.

There are some very handy tips mentioned so far!!

One thing that I have done a lot is using black electrical tape to cover the end of my barrel... It has no effect on the accuracy and prevent debris from getting into the barrel.

When hunting mountain caribou i have used a bandanna waving in the wind to attract the caribou... They are a very curious animal, and i have had good luck bringing them in with that trick...

When on a long hunt, i have always thrown my quartered moose (usually shot first) into the river... it cools it fast and keeps the flys off it... If it is completely underwater, the bears dont smell it either... Never had any problems...
