Default Michigan elk pic

I took this picture of a few nice bull elk in the Spar area of Northern Michigan.

Is that common for that many bulls to hang together? Nice photo anyway.

Pretty common once the heavy snow sets in. This herd actually had 13 bulls in it.

Very nice picture, great to see some Eastern Elk too. Does Michigan have any type of season for them right now?

About 300 permits issued each year. Herd is around 1200 - 2000, depending on who you ask. Hoping I will get drawn for a permit some year.

I've applied for a PA. permit and will continue to apply till I get one I guess. It's $10 per year to apply for one. So, eventually I'll get one! Good luck getting drawn. Looks like a good herd.
