Elk hunting with my uncle need openions
I'm going elk hunting with my uncle useing my 7 mag wat grain should I use at 100 yards it's 2 inches

160gr Nosler Partition work awesome for elk. That's what I use here in Utah on the elk hunt and it's done well every time.

160gr I think would be my 1st choice, perhaps 175gr.

160-165 gr bullet gives you the best combo of speed/trajectory and size. Use a premium bullet like the nosler partition, barnes, or TSX

Using premium bullets is the most important thing.
There are several options available in 160 grain.
A 160 grain premium bullet is going to outperform a 175 grain soft point for elk IMO.
