Their was a nice 4X4 buck with this group, but I had a doe tag. 134 yard shot with .308 norma mag. Deer ran up the side of a hill and dropped. Heart shot, the bullet obviously killed the deer but did not perform like its supposed to.
Congrats on the hunt. Post a little more on what kind of bullet that was. I could see that happening at 334 yards but not 134 yards.

This is the video. Didn't turn out great, its not as clear on youtube as it was while I was editing it. The deer I shoot is on the right side of centre on the screen and runs up the hill side on the right when I shoot. I hit her in the chest right beside the right shoulder and the bullet ended up just in front of the opposite hip. No meat damage at all.
Bullet was a 180 grain Hornady. Nothing against Hornady, I think its just an isolated event. I shot a whitetail buck this year with a 130 gr hornady out of a .270 Win and the bullet expanded perfectly.
