Default Hunting Elk in Washington state

I was wondering if anyone has hunted elk around Mt. Spokane and if so where did you go. I just got done hunting elk on Mica peak and didn't see a thing. Any good advice for hunting that mountain as well. This is my first season hunting so I know litterally nothing. I filled my turkey and deer tag, so I am off to a good start but want to have a couple different places to hunt. Thanks in advance.

I hunt around cle elum and have not hunted the mt. spokane area. I would suggest calling the local wdfw biologist and following his advice. the hunter sucess rate is relatively low here in washington so don't left out if you did not bag anything. you could also try differant areas for elk, like the rainy westside or the cascades. you are in the right area for deer, North East washington has been consitered one of the deer hot spots of our state. Washington game and fish is a magazine that contains a lot of tips and advice for hunting the North West, good luck with your hunt this year!
