Default Wife's First Dall Sheep

Here's a few pictures from my wife's first Dall Sheep hunt. She withstood over 50 miles of rough 4-wheeler trails, many miles on foot, steep terrain, a torrential downpour, and many nights in close proximity to my smelly butt in a small tent. Her reward was a great ram.

36 3/8" Left Horn (Full Curl +)
34" Right Horn (Broomed)
13 1/4" bases
9 1/2 years old

She shot him at 275 yards with her .308. To say I was one seriously impressed husband is a real understatement. Now that she shot a ram bigger than mine I'm just going to have to go out and get another one. Oh darn.

Glassing sheep country. Lots and lots of hours doing that.

Packing back to camp. Tough girls carry their own sheep head.

Back at camp. Time to crawl into the tent to try and dry off.

Enjoying the little bit of sunshine before the monsoon.

Congrats! That one hell of a ram you got there. One hell of a wife too. I'd be very impressed and proud also.

That's just one of the perks of having a receding hairline Pygmy. Now you know why I usually wear hats.

If you look over my shoulder in this picture you can see the remaining 7 rams just milling about right behind us. It never ceases to amaze me how sheep that are extremely skiddish will just stick around in close proximity when one of them goes down.
