Default Need someone with horses to help me!!

Hello all,
I drew a sheep tag for Colorado unit S4. I am looking for a drop camp into that area, and I am not having any luck. There is only one guide for that area and he is not interested in doing a drop camp. I know the area and I know where I want to camp. I am just looking to hire someone with horses to pack myself and a friend in there and then pick us up again. I am not too familiar with horses, therefore I am not looking to keep any horses with me. If you or you know someone that may be able to help, please let me know. I can use their equipment or purchase/borrow what I do not have.
Thanks,
Jason

It' s in the Mount Evans Wilderness, basically north of 285 from Bailey to Grant. There are two trailheads, one is near Bailey and the other is off the Gunalla Pass Road north of Grant.

Jason,
Get on the web and start looking for someone that rents horses.I did this a couple years ago here in montana,I was short 2 horses for pack string.Found a guy on the web he hauled me the horse in and charged me around 75$ a day for the horses including saddles and panniers. What is exspensive is the insurence on them.

WapitiHunter,

You may want to contact Sombero Ranches at info@sombero.com and look on their website at www.sombrero.com/grand.html. Ask for Chris as she was very helpful. I' ve rented horses from them several times and they operate at different locations around Colorado and have alot of horses. I recently talked with a friend of my cousin whom worked briefly as an outfitter in CO. He spoke highly of their horses and cofirmed that they are a big horse outfit. Not sure if they drop people off or not but it might be worth an email. Hope this helps....
