I have drawn a lottery Muzzleloading Elk tag for Area 22 South this year in Arizona after 10 years of applications! The hunt is Sept. 24-29, so the elk should still be bugling based on my experience in the past in New Mexico, hunting the first week in October. I will be using my T/C Encore 209x50 which I have used to take a nice 6x6 scoring 338 1/8 in New Mexico about 9 years ago. Needless to say, I am really looking forward to the hunt. I plan to take enough time off to drive to the hunt from Kentucky. I can't stand the hassle and aggravation of the airlines and their outrageous baggage rules and charges plus wondering if all my gear will get where I need it, when I need it. In addition, I am really happy to be able to spend some money in Arizona in appreciation of their position on enforcing the law regarding illegal aliens.
