Default Elk Pics...Scouting on June 12th

I was out scouting and caught these guys in the spotting scope. I'm a bit surprised to see this much antler growth already. The bigger bulls tops are still developing but his lower points look pretty good. Sorry for the fuzzy pics, they were taken through the spotting scope.

Note the smaller bull and his friend down and to the left.

I am not surprised by the growth. They have such a short time to grow. Have fun with them in that scrub oak, I hate that stuff.

No oak brush for me....that just happens to be the spot they were in that day. The whole area isn't like that. Mostly quakies in that country.
