Default RMEF letter to the antis

I think this deserves its own thread. RMEF has responded to the Defenders of Wildlife in a letter released yesterday. Go to www.rmef.org and read the letter section at the middle of the page, or if somebody more technologically asute could link it here, that would be great. RMEF needs your support, westerners need your support. Great letter, go RMEF!!

Muley70, Thanks for posting the link.
The RMEF has been on my sh*t list for several years for two reasons.
1) They never seem to stay in the same headquarter building for too long. I hope they have made there last move into the newest place in Missoula?
2) They took there time and drug there feet about there stance on the wolf. I think they were worried about ticking off the non-hunter group that supports them?

The RMEF has since come out of the closet on there stance regarding the wolf.
I do support the RMEF.
I will drop my support in a heart beat if they change there stance on the wolf or build yet another headquarter building in Missoula.

The RMEF was founded in 1984 in Troy, MT. They moved to Missoula I believe in 1988 and stayed in that building until they moved to their new HQ a few years ago. The purpose of the move was to develop an education center, which they have, and also to own their own building and expand office space for the professionals that oversee a very large volunteer force. Over 90% of the RMEF income goes directly toward conservation projects, that is outstanding and I believe higher than any other conservation organization in the nation.

The letter from the RMEF is outstanding, and finally somebody who is a major player in the conservation field has challeged some of the green whackos, and it is making headlines. As stated in the letter, the initial wolf reintroduction was classified as a "non-essential, expiermental re-introduction", and the elk foundation did not support, or oppose this measure. All that has changed, and now the RMEF has taken a very strong stand. I think the RMEF is back where they need to be under new leadership, and I am very proud to be a member. Simply put, there just isn't a better pro-hunter organization out there that does the habitat work that the RMEF does. I love the fact that the RMEF CEO called defenders anti-hunters and questioned their motives, outstanding.
