Bear Hunting New Mexico

This my first ever bear hunt and I would just like some info about the area. I will be doing this hunt all on my own, and I have never hunted out west. Any ideas on what I should bring with me, as far as gear and supplies would be helpful.

I have been drawn for a bear tag in New Mexico. I was drawn for colin neblett wma and barker wma any info about these areas will be greatly appreciated.

I am still looking for advice on where I should start in this area to hunt, what I should pack, etc. any help would be appreciated
