Walden huh. Steam Mill Brook perhaps? I've hunted there but have ended up shooting both mine in Danville.

Hadn't considered that with the moose meat we've had thus far - sounds tasty.

Might you share your technique?

Thanks, Jay

Oh what the heck, most everybody like moose porn.

This one is a nice 660lb (dressed) cow that was taken in New Hampshire's C-1 District last year. Good eats! We had some of the sausage made into Kielbasa - VERY good eats!

My favorite was to keep just a few steaks and roasts, and have the rest all made into summer sausage and hot-dogs.

The only summer sausage and hot(spicey)links (dogs) I like better than moose are caribou. Neither is too gamey for my tastes.

The roasts are done in the crock pot with carrots, potatoes, garlic, etc.

I agree I've had moose, caribou, elk, whitetail, buffalo, and antelope.

Moose meat is the best.

young bull -- Tasty
Cow -- delicious
Calf -- melts in your mouth
Old rutted bull -- good but tough, some good steak, uh rest burger.

P.S. of the above antelope by far the worst (well based one my one sampling)

I'd put Antelope as the best, followed by Caribou, Elk, and then Moose.
