Default My 2009 Colorado Bull Elk!!!! (pics)

Here is my 2009 bull elk that I shot in October in Colorado. Shot him with a 300 win mag at 350 yards. Spotted the herd on the mountain above timber line day before season and marked them on my Delorme PN-40. Woke up at 2:30 the next morning and started following the GPS coordinates. Got to about 12900 feet at about half hour before sunrise and let things calm down for about 15 minutes. Bugled once to locate the herd and come to find out they were only 400 yards further up the mountain. Waited for daylight and picked out the biggest bull in the herd. There was another bull about the same size but never presented a shot. Snuck up to 350 yards and got the bull to stop and dropped him in his tracks with the .300. Was three miles away from trail and 12900 feet up. Packed off mountain with help from buddies in one trip. All in all a hunt of a lifetime. Been dreaming of this for years.
