Default elk hunting in unit 56 in colorado

hey hows it going? i am trying to find some info on unit 56 about elk hunting. a couple buddies and i are planning an elk trip, two of us are bowhunting and the other with a smoke-pole. just tring to see if this is a unit worth going to or not. Thanks for the help.

It's an either sex draw hunt that can be had with 0 points (archery). I didn't look at muzzle. Success rates were a bit over 10% in the unit for 2008 which is the most current data I have. Like anywhere, the further you get from roads the better off you will be.

I hunted in back in 2003 with an outfitter.It's pretty steep and rugged.We didn't see an elk until the last day of a 7 day hunt but that's another story.
