Anyone hunt the San Juan near Pagosa
Looking to see if anyone hunted in the San Juan near Pagosa Springs this year? We are heading there 3rd season. Looks like it may be hot. We always camp just on the south side of Jackson Mountain on some private property. Unless we get some snow fast, the elk will not be at our elevation. Im going with my dad and 2 of his friends that are in their upper 60's so they are not motivated to head up high after the elk. Im dying to. Anyone know where to drive to where we can make day hunts in the higher elevations? I did some google searches and found a couple of roads off hwy 160 but im unsure where to go?
