any tips on hunting black bear

They can't see worth a d@mn and they can smell you coming for 3 miles. When you're up in a stand. They know you're there. They just don't care.

what kind of hunting, over bait, spot and stalk, gun or bow?

Spray yourself with anise and try and act like a Crispy Creme doughnut and you should do just fine. lol
