Default Black bear lures for hunting without bait or dogs in VA

Can someone recommend a brand they have had success with?

I am looking around and everything on the interweb looks rather like a gimmic. Thanks.

How about a fruit-scented or bacon-scented candle, would that work?

If I eat a lot of bacon and then fart into the wind, will that work?

I wonder if anyone has tried a bear bomb.

Well, in the past we've used liquid smoke or anise. Both are available at a grocery store in small quantities. Picked up some bait yesterday and the supplier had this on the shelf:

Don't know if it works, but I think I will buy a bottle this week.

Bought a bottle of the bacon scent this morning. Definitely smells of bacon as advertised. Very strong odor. Got a little on my hand and have washed my hands repeatedly and can't get rid of the smell! LOL

When I purchased the bottle I asked the cashier if it was a popular sell. He claimed he's been selling this stuff for 8-9 years and it's very popular. Time will tell.
