Default Moose Pics

September will be on us before we know it... I won't be moose hunting this year, but seeing some of the recent draw posts gets me excited none the less... post up some pics of your moose for those lucky enough to draw this year to see.

Good luck to everyone who will be chasing them soon!

Been a few years ago, already, that I took this 65"+ yukon moose. Quite a chore to pack them little rascals out, but we got lucky on this one and the job only took a day.

You can tell that I was a wookie at packin' out moose antlers, 'cause I found out later that it's easier to pack them in a vertical position, compared to having them horizontal on the pack. But it was all that bad mainly because we didn't have to go through any trees to get to camp.

Nice pics! Our moose do not get as big as those that is for sure, but I have my eye on a monster of a moose for over this way. I had a trail camera out checking up on him and it looks as though he wanted to try a bite of it..LOL He is currently growing his head gear right now and if he tops a 50 inch spread he will be concidered a to have a very large rack. Rarely do they get 60 inches here and some have exceded the 1000 lb mark, though most do not. Any how here is a a trail cam pic showing a great start on his head gear as well as getting ready for a snack on my cam.. I hope I can find him this fall! So far he has the biggest rack started that I have come across this year..

Phil, from what I gather the ME and NB bulls run about the same.
Mine tipped the scales at 870lb completely field dressed. The other guy's I posted was 890lb.
When I was checking mine in Frederickton, a monster was weighed in at 960lb... not sure if he was completely empty though.. didn't look.
