Default Just got home from my Canada bear hunt!!

We are leaving in the morning for Manitoba on a 6 day bear hunting and fishing trip. This will be my second trip north. I can't wait. Talked with my guide and he says there spring is late this year and the big boys aren't moving much yet. I am hoping that it all breaks loose Monday.

Good luck! I'm hearing the same in BC. Late season. I leave June 8th, the bears should be on the move by then.

Well the brown bears are moving. I just got back from a nine day brown bear hunt on Unimak Island AK. Saw 25-30 Brown bears. My brother shot a 9' 4" Sq.
Boar. Lots of sows and cubs. We hunted the North side on the Bering Sea. Seemed most bears were moving. That was a week ago and quite a bit north of your destination. Good hunting!

Hard to imagine that my trip is already over. I really screwed up on a big cinnamon boar on the first night. The second night I was lucky enought to have another cinnamon bear come in at the same stand I killed my first bear. I shot it at 15 yards and watched the bear fall. I love bear hunting in Canada. This bear isn't really big but it will make a beautiful rug.
