veteran tag discounts? elk hunt questions
hello, I wondered if any states offered a discount on non resident tags for veterans. I am coming home from afghanistan in august and want to head out west with my buddiesfor a hunt, I see tags in CO for antlerless elk for $251 over the counter but i dont know if there is better option. we would like to rent some horses and just wander out into the wilderness, filling a tag isnt the most important thing. it would be a meat hunt more than a trophy hunt. Any ideas on an over the counter tag thats not horribly expensive to a location that we could find some elk? Suggestions on an outfitter for horse rental? any help is very appreciated.
