Anyone ever hunt antelope in Nebraska
I am looking to plan a DIY antelope hunt for next year and live in MN so I am lookin at SD NE and eastern WY looks like the very north west corner of NE has good public land to hunt and sounds like ok numbers of animals. I now WY has lots of goats just looks like it would be hard to find a public place to hunt. Just looking for a little advice or experiences out in that area.
Thanks for any input

There is lots of public land in Harding County in the very northwest of South Dakota with tons of animals. Archery licenses are guaranteed and rifle is a draw. Let me know if I can help you out.

If you are coming to Nebraska to hunt antelope getting a rifle tag maybe a bit tough. The public ground you talk about is good and you will see the goats for sure. You can also get on some private ground in that area if you are willing to do a little door knocking.

thanks for the advice guys I am thinking of starting to apply for rifle tage this year and archery hunt until I can get one. snip i will lookin into the south dakota area you were talking about I have hunted the black hills quite a few times and I do love SD. How bout ND anyone tried there I thought with the antelope and deer archery seasons at the same time I might be able to find a roaming mule deer. Anyone had luck with that.

If you're in MN, look to SE MT for some nice goats and public land....MT also has a block management program which allows you to hunt private land for free.
Draws are fairly easy, 1st or 2nd year you apply you should end up with a tag.
There's plenty of public land in both MT, and WY, check your maps....though quality goat areas with good public access may take some time to draw....
