Default What would you do?

Ok heres the deal, this is my senior year in high school and am a pretty hard bowhuntin, weekend warrior and love everything about it. Ive had the chance to get close to big deer and would love to shoot a nice mature trophy. Now kansas cam out with a little bit of a different tag system where this year I can get an any-season whitetail permit or an archery any-deer permit meaning I could take a Mule-deer with a bow. Should I take the easy route and try to get that Mature "trophy-whitetail" having greater chance with a rifle or should I go the hard route and go for the Any-deer tag where I can have a chance at my first muley.
The thing Im in eastern Kansas up near Kansas city, so that means Ive only got time in Thanksgiving and Christmas break to go after them. Ive got almost 9,000 acres of almost all cropland to hunt and another 900 set-up and managed for deer and pheasant. Im just so confused on what to go with, because I know that taking a muley with a bow is one of the ultimate challenges, but how realistic am I being? Or should I just go after a nice whitetail once gun season comes around if I havent already taken one with my bow? sorry for the long post

Your a senior in high school, you have a whole lifetime ahead of you. If you are new to bow hunting, i would suggest you go for whitetail and keepd the mulie dream alive for later when you have morethe time. I'm not aware of how your tag system works, but get a tag that will give you the best chance and most time after game. But, as I said, for right now - get that whitetail trophy and keep you mulie drream alive.

Son, your in Highschool, you have your whole life to hunt, and hunt hard, so relax and pick what you really want to do, you have many seasons ahead of you.
