Default Good Elk Clip

Saw this on CNN.com's site this morning. If you could only hunt in town.

Where exactly is that? Do they not allow hunting there?

Its in Estes Park, CO.

It is a couple hours north (and slightly west) of Denver. The town borders Rocky Mt. National park and the local elk herd is notorius for roaming the city at will. I was there for my brothers wedding inthe summer of2006 and we saw a few roaming the city, but nothing like this. The Rut will do crazy things!!

amazing place, not far from boulder. We were there in early june-- there were several cows walking around with 2-3 calves each, very young animals and very at ease in town...
