Is this the same bear?

the marking on the chest looks the same, but this years bear looks smaller. the reason it's important to me is because my buddy actually hit this one bow hunting last year (2 days after the pic was taken, 9/1/2007). just hoping she made it through...

No. The white patch on the 1st one is more like a V, and the 2nd's patch looks like a U.

the second pic is a younger bear for sure....plus the marking is a bit different.

It's tough to judge bears IMO. They look close, but different. Tough call.

Hell no Rackluster!! That 2nd bear is smaller and maybe younger then the 1st one. Lots of bear have the white V in there chest. Its pretty common.

Looks similar but, very hard to tell. You can always refer to the old way of meeting... go shake hands. You will either A) know it then or B) it will forever be a mystery for us.
