Default Boiling Licorice to make Anise oil

Just wondering if anybody knows how to boil licorice to make anise oil do you boil it in water or just put the licorice in a pot and heat it up until it seperates. Anyadvice wouold be great.

Best bet is to just go buy a bottle of it in the spice or baking isle of the market.

Check Craigs list. I saw it being sold by the gallon here in Idaho this spring. You might want to check out e-bay also. Worth a shot......

I just got some anus oil from boiling my toilet paper down....

Actually, go to a pharmacy and they typically sell it, along with cinammon, mint, etc. oils that people use in making candies. Ask the pharmacy staff if you can't find it & they can order it for you.
