Default wyoming mule deer

I drew a tag for general area D, will be staying in Riverside to hunt mule deer. Does anybody have any suggestions on good areas to try (on public land)? Just looking to harvest a decent buck.

What's the difference from a general area tag and a unit specific tag?

A region tag is only good for several units.
A unit tag is only good for that unit.

I did a little more research on possible areas to hunt. Has anyone hunted Walk In Area 12? What about Hunter Management Area called Muddy Mtn., or X-bar?

The deer got hit hard this winter, but there will still be a few good buck left.
I would look at high on French Creek, they stopped grazing sheep a few years back on Libby flatts so those deer could be in good shape depending on which side they wintered on.

We did pretty well around the Shirleys and the Miracle Mile. Also Chaulk Mountain.
If you hunt around the Shirleys stay clear of the Q Creek Ranch.
Those guys can get a bit nasty.
