Hello, i am new to this site, but after looking around a bit looks awesome! A friend and I are heading out to Wyoming this fall for our first Antelope hunt. I did contact the the game warden for unit 17 and he gave me a list of about 25 landowners to call. Of them 5 had openings and 2 were in our price range, but only have openings for 2 days and later in the season. We were looking to pay a tresspass fee to hunt. Can anyone help us out with some info and possible contacts? Thanks in advance! Brad
One idea is posting an ad on craigslist.....looking to pay a trespass fee for unit 17.....
Also how much public land is there? I've only hunted public land for the most part out west.
I actually hunted across the state line from unit 17 last year....and drove back through that part of WY.
I think wyoming may offer access to private land through their program whatever its called, certainly call fish and game and ask about that program, and if they have anyone to call for unit 17.
Looks like that area is limited on public land....though I'm sure some of it exists....that's always one option. Also you can call some local taxidermists and see what they suggest....
Did they post draw results? I'm suppose to get my tag but no news to my knowledge yet....?
Thanks salukipv1, i will look into the walk-in program. No they didn't post the results yet, the drawisn't until July 3rd, and the results should be up by the 10th. I did get a BLM map for that area, so i will be studying that also. I will check out Craigs List. Thanks again!
